  • Scrapping a CRT TV - Rowa RTM-686

    Here's a Rowa RTM-686, Bet not many have heard of this brand, why would anyone buy a brand called Rowa is beyond me, let's scrap it..



    This is as far as i'll move it from the van, I like scrapping crt's from here, just seems less of a job..

    Well it's clean, the board looks very small for the size of the tv..

      You can see all the wires are just low grade, only worth about $1.40 kg for that stuff..



      Yoke is nice and big though..



      The board is ok, has two spools which is always a bonus..

          I mean they didn't start out that way but it's how they ended up. And it wasn't that uncommon for manufacturers having joint ventures and still happens today.

          the similarities were never just physical..they usually shared the same chassis and therefore the same faults. Anyone familiar with EFIL or IKON would know what I mean.
