    Got a Dell Precision 490 Workstation to scrap out..





    It's a good sized heavy unit this, twin fans there too..

    whoah, got lot's in here, first thing I notice is the hard drive caddies are empty, oh well..





    Can flip the H/D caddies like this, revealing quite a large motherboard..

      First thing I pulled out was this nice video card..





      I've taken out the power supply unit and wires, now we can get to those two big heatsinks, should be a CPU under each..

        Nice heat sinks, a shame I can't do much with that bit of copper, the're stuck for good.
        But I do get extruded aluminium for these, even though the're not extruded..

            It didn't look like there was any RAM, but these two were sitting loose inside the tower.
            The're Rambus sticks..

              Motherboard is a whopper, 8 RAM slots, shame I only got two..

                3 finger cards, 2 cpu's and a couple rambus.
                with hard drives and more ram this could of been a massive scrap, still this was good..
